This policy explains what information Bright Bayou Media LLC ("Bright Bayou Media", "we", "us") collects through brightbayou.com and in the course of doing business with advertisers, and how we use it. Our publications' own websites may have their own policies.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
- Advertiser and business information. When a business advertises with us, we collect the contact names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing addresses and ad materials needed to run and invoice the advertising.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the payer's name and the last four digits of the card.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers log the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each visit. We use these logs for security and to understand overall traffic.
This website has no account sign-up and no forms, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies on it. Our content-delivery provider may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries.
- To sell, produce, publish and invoice advertising.
- To keep business, accounting and tax records.
- To protect the website against abuse and keep it running.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as hosting and content delivery, email, accounting and payment processing, and only as needed for those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
Retention
We keep correspondence and advertiser records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@brightbayou.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and adult readers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
